Hosting and technical delivery

This website is hosted on a server provided by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. Delivering a page requires the server to process connection data such as the IP address, time, requested resource and status code. This website does not keep permanent access logs. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is the secure and reliable delivery of the website.

Audience measurement with GoatCounter

I self-host GoatCounter on the same server. It receives only the normalised page path, page language and clicks on fixed project links. Query strings, screen resolution, email addresses and free text are not transmitted. GoatCounter does not set analytics cookies and does not use Local Storage, fingerprinting or persistent visitor identifiers. For session assignment, the IP address and User-Agent are processed only in volatile memory, never written to disk and discarded after no more than eight hours. Individual raw pageviews are not stored.

Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is understanding which public content is used without creating individual usage profiles. Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control and the local opt-out on this page are respected.

Audience measurement opt-out

You can disable audience measurement for this device at any time using the control below. After your explicit choice, a technically necessary first-party cookie is stored for no more than one year. It contains only the opt-out preference and is sent to patrickft.de so that clicks on approved project links are not counted either. It is not used for any other purpose and is deleted when measurement is enabled again.

Email

Messages sent to hello@patrickft.de are forwarded by ImprovMX Incorporated, 8 The Green STE D, Dover, Delaware 19901, USA, to a Gmail inbox. This requires processing the sender and recipient addresses, technical metadata and message content. According to ImprovMX, successfully delivered messages are deleted after forwarding; delivery logs may be retained for up to seven days. Further processing in the destination mailbox is performed by Google. If you do not want data transferred to the United States, please use postal mail.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for general messages and Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where communication concerns entering into or performing a contract.

Your rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
